Ink 8 - The Mysterious MythologyFinally Requiem goes to meet the hermit. Requiem discovers that she is a great mother squid with her three small cubs. She reveals all her wisdom about that world, through the interpretation of a mysterious mural in the hollow interior of a pinnacle. The mural is possibly a symbolic representation of the Spirit of the World, whose left eye is the sun, where life manifests itself, while the moon is its right eye, which welcomes the deceased to return to the spirit of the world. The great squid reveals that every form of life has a cycle, a purpose to nourish the health of the spirit of the world. But if this cycle is interrupted, the spirit of the creature is tormented and stuck in this supernatural world, which she named “Hadal.” She would say that the only way to escape Hadal would be if Requiem found what was stolen from her, before she finished her cycle: her fins. -- source link
