e-codices: Scene from “Labors of the month May” on Flickr. MAY Labors of the month May are generally represented by either a falconry scene or the two lovers. The falconry scene nearly always has one man on a horse or standing with a bird on his arm. The scene of the two lovers on the other hand, usually shows them walking on a landscape. In some cases the two lovers are represented holding branches. Combination of both compositions shows the two lovers on a horseback with a falcon or a branch on man`s arm.
