5am.rainingI made three vision boards at the start of the year–One for mornings, one for afternoons, and one for nights. They’re all pretty similar in theme. Just a vibe that’s meant to keep me feeling inspired, focused, and excited about what I’m doing. It’s really easy to lose sight of why I’m in this profession sometimes. Between the never ending readings, the pointless feeling essays, group work, and ego-crushing job/internship search, and the classes that aren’t at all related to what I ultimately want to do in my career, it’s soooo easy to get burnt out and tired of showing up 100%. But then I remember what calls me to this job, what my research interests are, where I want to see myself in a handful of years or more. Obviously these images are vaguely related to all of that, and mostly just represent the habits and routine I want to maintain, but bringing this all together gives me a feeling that makes me excited to work. I have this vision in my head of what adult-life could look like, and trying to keep it in sight has been helping me to keep going…The word EVOLVE is my word of the year for 2021. It’s been a long hard painful journey to get to where I am. I feel like this process has been a lot like an evolution more than a typical growth pattern. I’m nothing like who I was before, in the best way. I want to keep evolving.[I collected these images from all over Pinterest, so at this point I honestly have no idea who they’re all by (let me know if you want me to remove any of them or give credit!)] -- source link
