tamiart:Rosalind Franklin was a British Jewish chemist who made a crucial contribution to the discovery of the double helix structure in DNA. Sadly, this fact is little known. Brilliant and headstrong, she did not get along with her proud male colleagues James Watson, Francis Crick, and Maurice Wilkins, who used her research in their DNA model without giving her credit until after they won the Nobel Prize, which was four years after her death in 1958.
