route22ny:Revisiting this photo first seen here a couple of years ago, now reworked with Lightroom to address certain chromatic aberrations inherent in the aging print. This is the North Babylon Theater on Long Island, sometime in 1971. It was a good time for American cinema IMHO. This particular flick was not only supremely evocative of a time and place, but also my introduction to Bob Wills and Hank Williams, whose songs comprised the soundtrack. I worked here a couple of years while commuting to college, wore an attractive red blazer with a clip-on bow tie, and even hung the letters on this side of the marquee.The building remains but the theater is gone; a medical office now occupies the space. -- source link
