The braille text is an excerpt from La terra e l’uomo (lit. the earth and the man), a novel written by Giuseppe De Lorenzo in 1947. The artist decided not to reveal what the braille text reads, holding that everyone is lacking something: blind people cannot see the view before them, sighted people cannot decipher the meaning of those graphemes.
