Unsolved Mysteries (Netflix 2020): “Mystery on the Rooftop”Belvedere Hotel, Baltimo
Unsolved Mysteries (Netflix 2020): “Mystery on the Rooftop”Belvedere Hotel, Baltimore, MarylandIf you have watched episode 1 of the new Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix you will have seen the crime scene at the Belvedere Hotel in Baltimore. The body of Rey Rivera was discovered in an unused room at the back of the hotel. He seemingly appeared to fall from the sky and through the lower roof of the hotel. His body was discovered several days after his disappearance. They found his car parked in space #7 in a lot next to the hotel. A hole in the lower roof of the Belvedere could be seen from the parking garage attached to the hotel. When watching the episode I noticed a times it seemed like the lower roof was fairly flat but in person you can see it has many layers. I could easily walk to the top of this parking garage from the street and use the elevator or stairs to the top. There were several doors in the stairwell that led to parts of the hotel. One door led to a roof next to the room the body was found. Another door accessible from the stairwell appeared to lead right into the room he was found. I tried the door but it was locked at this time. But was it locked in 2004? I was able to access the hotel via the parking garage, I walked right in and never saw another person until I exited through the front. The fact someone could have easily gotten in the room the body was found to stage it like a suicide seems like it was not addressed in the episode. -- source link
