King Lycaon, the First Werewolf,According the Greek mythology Lycaon was a tyrannical king of Arkadia who cursed the gods. When Zeus came to investigate rumors of his tyranny Lycaon tested Zeus’ divinity by serving him meat from a slaughtered child, the ultimate offense for a god. Zeus, being divine, immediately knew of the origin of the meat and became so angry that he destroyed Lycaon’s 50 sons with lightning bolts and transformed Lycaon into a werewolf. -- source link
