I’ve been listening to a podcast by Malcom Gladwell where he explored the idea of Genius. . There’s easily recognizable genius. Everything they touch is brilliant. It doesn’t take effort to recognize this genius. A good example is Picasso. Early success. Doesn’t have to struggle for ideas. . There’s also the elusive genius. The unsure genius. Does their work over and over just to be sure it’s dope. Struggles with even knowing that what they’re doing is what they want to achieve. Most of this genius is sure about itself late in life. A perfect example would be Cézanne. . I think neither knew they fell in the genius category but they kept working. People around them supported them. Now we celebrate both. I say keep working, whether sure or unsure. -- source link
