Two pictures I took of a star going supernova and outshining the entire galaxy!These are two images I shot of the Cigar galaxy, before and after a star within it went supernova.A supernova is when a star collapses in on itself and explodes, scattering its enriched guts across the universe.The light produced from this is so bright, that for the first few days it can outshine its entire galaxy! -- source link
