counterpunches:swanjolras:this-is-my-finnrey-blog:She picked it up from BB-8 #I have been able to resist the idea of their smol daughter for so long     #but this is too adorable I can’t anymore I can’t so now you guys have to listen to all my dumb headcanons about the thing     #which is that they definitely are going to name her leia—at least until they go to the general and ask if that’s…?     #and leia definitely Does Not Cry if she has to blink a little and swallow that’s not crying     #she says “it would be an honor but maybe ‘hana’ instead?”     #(for han; and also because “channah” was a traditional alderaanian name she wants to give rey and finn something of hers still)     #(they love it their daughter is born hana and leia still definitely Does Not Cry)     #also that finn’s favorite part of rey being pregnant is those times when they’re lying in bed and rey makes a face     #and when he asks her what’s wrong she says “oh hana’s dreaming” or “hana’s restless” or “hana’s hungry”     #(jedi pregnancy is weird guys it is super weird but finn is delighted by it he feels like he knows his daughter     #that even before he meets her she likes it when poe sings or when finn talks in that low quiet voice)     #ANYWAY     #hana is a stubborn rambunctious child she inherited all of her father’s willingness to go forward despite fear and all of her mother’s wide-     #eyed curiosity she is a hellion     #chewie is starting to slow down a little bit but he’s still the only one who can keep up with her     #rey and finn spend a lot of time traveling the galaxy (her recruiting new jedi; finn working mostly in diplomacy/restoration)     #and luke and leia always babysit hana calls them her grandparents and they melt it’s obscene     #or sometimes poe swoops in and carries her off for “secret missions” which invariably involve just a little bit of adventure and then cake     #(hana’s aunt calrissian will join them when she can get away from cloud city—hana loves her and wants to be exactly like her when she grow     #*grows up; except with a lightsaber like mama’s)     #just     #………it’s really fucking cute is my point (via @notbecauseofvictories)#i don’t. fucking. even with kidfic#it’s literally just the name hana that puts it over the edge for me#when hana’s fifteen she has a breakdown#she’s one of those kids that feels too much; cares too much; thinks too much#gets too angry too sad too tired#of course there’s still a war. there’s always a war. there’s never not been a war.#you know that feeling. i know you do. when you’re fifteen and you’ve decided that the world is yours to carry on your shoulders#with a mother like rey and a father like finn how could she not have a heart the size of the ocean?#how could she not be raised with a sense of responsibility to the galaxy and the community around her#rey and finn in their own small ways try to raise hana to be a better person than they were at her age#and it backfires; because it always does; because that’s parenting#and hana grows up believing that the world is hers to carry#anyway. at fifteen of course a breakdown.#can’t be helped. can’t be made happy again.#leia finds her in her room#says: chanaleh. boychick.#lets hana cry on her shoulder because there’s nothing else to be done. not for this#sings her schlaf mein kindlein until hana’s breath evens out. -- source link
