“I find it interesting that Luna, Faustina, and Jeanne (and maybe the thing Ruthven is keeping in liquid-filled tube as well) have all similar hairstyles (this is before Jeanne cut off her hair short). I wonder if they are all experiments or a vessel for something. Luna (ability to change true names) and Faustina (ability to take true names) being failed ones, while Jeanne so far is the decent one created as of yet with her immense physical ability and obedient nature regardless of what someone has done to her (“once she believes, she never doubts”) thus, making her very useful. Especially the fact that Luna said something along the lines, “I’m not a man or a woman. I’m not like any other living thing in this world” which makes them not even an actual being in the first place because they were “created”, hence, the text went bold on the “what” when Vanitas said “then what are you?”“ -- source link
