Just started the preliminary sketches for a new series of drawings I’ll be working on for the next month or so and I can’t wait to get them onto paper. In August of last year, John and I decided to invest in an art studio/office/gallery/activity space in order to maintain our sanity and not succumb to COVID cabin fever. John needed a place to separate work from home and I needed a larger space to make art in. The downside of the studio was that my sidekick Zinzu was having to stay at home while I spent long hours away from him. It took a toll on the both of us. As some of you may know, I tried to devise a solution but kept running into obstacles. I bought him a deluxe pram in hopes of transporting him in it but that ended up not working out as planned since he gets ultra stressed out being in moving vehicles and the carriage didn’t fit in the Jeep the way I envisioned it ♀️ Long story short, I decided to draw at home on days when I work at the hospital so that he might be able to do what he does best, protect me and burn holes in me with his laser eyes. Magical hooves by the talented @nutsa. This is my third pair of boots by this incredible female craftsman and fellow motorcyclist. These have a silver plated heel, are painted by hand and are works of art. #savannahcat #artstudio (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CPoOzfaJss6/?utm_medium=tumblr -- source link
