A cold and unforgiving environment outside of the Lunar city, most of the surface is frozen. Experiencing harsh winds and violent exposure to the sun’s radiation, few stray outside of the city long enough to know of the moon’s harsh effects. But under the protection of the Imperium Silver Crystal, the Lunar city and its inhabitants experience a warmer climate akin to a springlike temperature, yet outside of the maintained gardens, the landscape remains a white wasteland.The Lunar Palace: At the southern edge of the city before Mare Serentitis lies the Lunar Palace, crafted out of crystal, granite, and marble. While the palace could nearly be a city in itself, it retains a minimalistic beauty regarded across the galaxy. Outside of its expansive rooms and libraries lie the formal gardens, tended to by the Queen and Princess themselves and open to the public to enjoy.The Temple of Selene: At the center of the city lies the Great Pillar, the Temple of Selene. While the entire surface of Luna is regarded as holy ground, the grounds of the Temple are the holiest of holies. While the temple surrounds the base of the Pillar, which rises above the city, a soft hum of prayer can be heard among the columns and just beyond the temple grounds.The Plaza: Surrounding the Temple and lying between the holy ground and the Palace lies the Plaza, an expansive area of shops, boutiques, lawns, and gardens. Good for shopping or simply taken a stroll, this is where the bulk of Lunar interaction takes place. While the Plaza is filled mostly with businesses and markets, there are a few expensive apartments in the upper levels, mainly housing visiting nobility and ambassadors.Mare Serentitis: Just past the Palace on the southern edge of the Lunar city lies Mare Serentitis, a frozen lake. At the edge of the reach of the Silver Crystal, its waters remain frozen, yet it is still underneath the Crystal’s protection, allowing Lunar citizens to walk on the ice without the use of protection from Luna’s harsh natural environment.
