A hot and unbearable planet outside of the biodomes, the surface  has been declared uninhabitable for the last 500 years due to a rupture in the atmosphere and a spike of methane release from recent volcanic activity. However, due to the Mercurians’ advanced intellect and technological prowess, life still thrives under the seven biodomed sectors, providing the Solar System with the latest in technology, medicine, and protection.Sector I – Vei: Vei, arguably the poorest of Mercury’s biodomes but also the most important, is the largest of all seven sectors. The manufacturing sector, Vei is where all of Mercury’s finest inventions and technology are sent for mass production. Generally a dark and dingy place, Vei has a questionable air quality despite being a high tech biodome and smog is one of the recurring problems of the sector. Consisting of mostly a working class population, the sector operates mainly through unions and workers’ rights Sector II – Ri: Ri is one of the most scientifically advanced sectors that deals mainly with biotechnology. With carefully regulated weather patterns, day/night functions, and temperatures, this biodome’s main makeup consists of agriculture and greenhouses holding artificial environments. With an artificial river encapsulating the inside of the biodome and regulated clear skies, it is the most tranquil place on Mercury, what with its population consisting of both farmers and scientists alike. While smaller than the other sectors, it is no less important.Sector III – Spi: The medical sector, Spi creates all the latest in medicine and medical technology. The majority of the sector is taken up by Spi Medical, the Solar System’s most advanced hospital in care and technology. For many in Spi, their lives revolve around the labs in the south wing of Spi Medical, which takes up the majority of the downtown area. While little can be said for the night life of this sector, much can be said for the medical advances it brings to a life in the Solar System.Sector IV – Rum: The sister biodome to Vei, Rum operates as the main engineering sector. Many of Mercury’s practical inventions (including but not limited to androids, spaceships, biodome maintenance, etc.) are housed and created here before being sent out to mass production. An industrious sector, it is not uncommon for the streets to be crowded with the latest in android technology or to see the prototype for personal space travel in the sky.Sector V – Luc: Efficiency is the name of the game in Luc, as the entire sector is dedicated to the development of a more green power supply to fuel the galaxy. While most of the current energy source is refined from the volcanic underbellies of Mercury and imported from the sandy mines on Martian soil, Luc is desperately searching for a more efficient way of life as specifically directed by the White Queen. It is not uncommon to see these new prototypes in effect throughout the city, as well as products that are powered by these new sources.Sector VI – Vis: While the rest of the planet runs on tangible technological advances, the planet still runs on computers and data, and Vis is where the latest in computer technology is developed and implemented. Information Technology makes this sector one of the most powerful and advanced cities in the galaxy, what with the rate of its ever-expanding capacity. While this biodome is known for its advances being far above the rest of the planet’s, it is also the only Mercurian city known for its nightlife and is also the only city to have regular gang activity.Sector VII – Rit: The final sector of Mercury, Rit operates as the planet’s military base. Led by the General of the Mercurian Armed Forces, Rit specializes in the invention and production of military weaponry, transportation, and strategy. While not all of those residing in Rit belong to the military, a high percentage does and each citizen has a tie to it in some way, shape, or form.
