avoyagetoarcturus: George MacDonald was a very goblin-loving author, and I’ve seen characters from several of his stories wind up on the Goblin Week blog, but none yet as far as I know from Phantastes! ;-) So here is Anodos (main character) of the novel Phantastes trying to escape the underground-dwelling kobolds while they taunt him, sing songs at him, and throw rocks at him.
