Join us for some family fun at our 8th Annual Children’s Book Fair this Saturday (11/15) and meet your favorite Brooklyn authors and illustrators! Authors Adam Auerbach, Peter Brown, Scott Menchin, & Sophie Blackall will be here reading from their latest books:Edda by Adam Auerbach –  Edda is a Valkyrie who wants to make friends. Her papa suggests she make them in school and she’s not too sure about that idea. She soon realizes being different is what makes her unique and she starts to make friends after all.My Teacher is a Monster by Peter Brown– Bobby has a monster for a teacher who is pretty mean and doesn’t allow him to enjoy recess. He tries to get away at a nearby park when his teacher finds him there. He then comes to realize monsters are not always as they seem.My Yiddish Vacation by Ione Skye & Illustrated by Scott Menchin – Whenever Ruth and Sammy visit their grandparents they get a chance to brush up on their Yiddish. This story of cultural exploration is informative and fun.  Ivy + Bean: No News is Good News by Annie Barros & Sophie Blackall – The mischievous Ivy and Bean need to raise ten dollars to buy some beloved low-fat Belledeloon cheese. They decide to snoop around and write about their neighbors’ lives in the newspaper.
