I mean, there are other contestants. The speech to Akhaten. The second half of "The Parting of the Ways”. Davros’ introduction in “Genesis of the Daleks”. All of “Midnight”. And so on. But this little scene right here just has it all. The Doctor kneeling down, softly kissing the Mistress — despite, or maybe even because of, the fact that she’s just murdered many in cold blood. Realising that whatever he is, he’s not her. He’s the Doctor. And realising what that means. And then, that goddamned beautiful little smile at the end. I love this episode. -- source link
