I can’t believe how fast it happened lately! I am happy to tell why I am so proud of being deaf at the right time.I believe that everyone who are disabled like me are also capable of doing anything including loving other people. When we focus on the possibilities, we will have more opportunities. Everyday we face the challenges that seem impossible for us but we can push ourselves beyond the limitation. We want to prove that disability will never hinder our progress because we work hard on what we deserve to be best and we choose happiness despite of this.I am survivor. I suffered many experiences of discrimination and judgment. I struggle to survive and shout to the world that I can be heard and no longer ignored. But I believe in myself that I am still breathing and alive, thanks to my achievements and success. It gives me hope to enjoy my life every day.I wander around and sometimes normal people make me seem unfit in society. I just live differently from them. I can hear the spark in my inner voice to speak for who I am without shame. It becomes fireworks. I know I am extraordinary and special.Please don’t pity on the deaf community because we also have pride. Something that we celebrate is to make the difference and to put the effort in achieving what we love and living through daily struggle. We are longing for the inclusion and acceptance.With all my heart, there’s no other word to explain how grateful I am to have family and friends that meant to me very much and they are always here for me to keep me alive forever. The world is full of wonderful things like them and the more I’d appreciate this!Thank you a million for making the voiceless people like me heard about this kind of situation and empathizing toward the deaf community so that there’s only hope to build bridges between deaf and hearing world.
