veganvanityblog:How I use Green Tea in my Skincare Routine / DIY Green Tea Facial Exfoliant and Mask(Scroll Down to bottom for DIY Recipe)1. DRINK: Green Tea is full of antioxidants, which help with blood circulation, fight off free radicals, detox the liver, boost metabolism, and aid in digestion. Because of the antioxidants, it’ also a great anti ager. 2. Facial Mist: I spray my face every morning and throughout the day with cold green tea. I used an up-cycled spray bottle and filled it with cold green tea. I store it in the fridge and use it whenever I need a boost. It leaves my skin refreshed, and pores tightened. I also use it after my skincare routine to help hold my layers of product in. 3. Eye Pack: After I make a cup of tea I save my tea bags in the freezer, and when my eyes are puffy I can re-use them by pressing them against my eyes to reduce the swelling. 4. Herbal Bath: Like stated before, I save my tea bags in the freezer after use, so when I take a bath I just throw them in for their beneficial skin properties. 5. Sheet Mask: I also soak cotton pads in cooled green tea and use it as a home made sheet mask. It really helps reduce breakouts and fine lines instantly. 6. Face Cream: I recently made a face cream with Shea butter, Rosehip oil, Coconut oil and green tea, which I use as an eye cream and targeted wrinkle cream. I will make a more elaborate post when I remake it.***3 INGREDIENT GREEN TEA FACIAL EXFOLIANT / MASK***2 teaspoons coconut oil2 teaspoons lemon juice3-4 teaspoons green teaOptional ingredients: I added some Rosehip oil and Tea Tree oil for a little extra. The vitamin E in the Rosehip oil, and vitamin C in the lemon boost each others properties, and the Tea Tree oil is just for added anti bacterial properties. Because of the added liquid ingredients I also added an extra teaspoon of green tea. -- source link
