Generally, space is a good thing.Men take space, distance, to reconnect with themselves, review their life/decisions, refresh their spirit. All positive.Women take space when upset or hurt—and most females perceive a male’s space-taking as negative because of this. If something is bothering him, trust him to say so.Both can also use distance to re-evaluate, or contemplate a dalliance to “test” their feelings, or prepare for an uncomfortable ending or unexpected twist. But, I believe we sense these more sticky shifts long before they actually happen (or while they’re going on); they simmer underneath for a while before ‘the big reveal.’Too many women I know chase men further into their mental man caves, worrying what’s wrong and how to “fix” things. If they only knew: nothing is wrong, and they should enjoy the time knowing he’s taking care of his own business, in a good (albeit unexpected) space, too. We all need to come back to our Self now and then, even involuntarily.-SmartSurrender -- source link
