blackbookalpha:Hey, I caught up to all Steven Universe episodes. I think Steven’s Lion is more OP than most people think. If true, the Crystal Gems are just hanging out with a God-like super-being in the form of a giant cat.The Diamond Authority were so determined to wipe out Pink Diamond from Homeworld’s existence that we barely see any clues or traces of her at all, even before the Gem Wars / Rebellion.Pink Diamond’s traits would have been the exact opposite to the governing Diamonds; a race that consumes planetary resources and destroys organic life to expand their own kind. Rose Quartz is just a soldier that carried on her ideals, passing it on to Steven.Where does organic life start btw? When a planet has an abundance of H2O, aka water. Pink Diamond’s affinity could have been water / ocean-related. The only clue we have of her is on the moon satellite showing off her motif, which has soft, cylindrical coral / ocean-like elements to it.Lion doesn’t have a diamond or gem that’s visible. Its possibly hidden in its mane and could also be cracked / incomplete / fragmented. Cracked gems usually have an ‘incomplete’ or ‘distorted’ shape (physical damage), versus a corrupted gem that turns it into a monster despite being whole (psychological damage).Lion is possibly a cracked / fragmented diamond, ‘softened’ by the Earth’s ocean for eons just like when a sharp shard of glass eventually winds up on a beach as a soft, colored pebble. Explains why Lion retained a soft, fluffy appearance with a calm behavior in contrast to a volatile, corrupted gem.5000+ years later (possibly 10,000+ to a million years, since its way before the Gem Rebellion), Steven meets Lion in a desert, with Pearl pointing out that the Desert Glass artifact they were trying to retrieve in the nearby ruins summons columns without roofs, and staircases that leads to nowhere. That desert could have been an ocean before it dried up. The columns / tower that it builds also has cylindrical, coral-themed architecture. This could have been Pink Diamond’s final resting place before her gem was eventually weathered down by the passage of time, and re-formed into a smaller beast rather than a giant humanoid.Lion is by far the most powerful ally in Steven’s group. The missing Diamond could just be just hiding in plain sight (and gnawing on Steven’s furniture / clothes). Also, Lion can walk on water.Source supporting this theory:http://stevenuniversetheoryzone.wikia.com/wiki/Lion_is_Corrupted_Pink_DiamondYo I also caught up with this show and there’s another thing supporting this theory: There’s leaked images of Pink Diamond which may or may not be real, where her hair indeed looks a lot like Lion’s mane. Apparently there’s some evidence that they’re the real deal. Here’s one of them: http://pasteboard.co/5qIDeVBKy.pngPossible spoilers obviously. -- source link
