emospritelet: thechloris: emospritelet: hedwighood: woodelf68: LEMONS? WHY WOULD ANYONE PUT LEMONS ON PANCAKES? THEY LOOK OUT OF PLACE EVEN IF THEY’RE JUST SUPPOSED TO BE A GARNISH. Those sound like the words of someone who has never tried sugar and lemon juice on pancakes (Though we normally have it with the crepe-y sort of pancakes, not those american monstrosities) Pancakes with lemon and sugar are delicious! But yes, proper pancakes :) Hey, there is room to love all the kinds of pancakes there are! Including fluffy, yummy American ones. :) As for the lemons, these are Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Since you can’t eat them through the screen, the lemons are visual cues that the pancakes are lemony. Though I have no doubt the pancakes would be awesome with a squeeze of lemon on top (to echo the flavors of the batter) and the blueberry sauce she has made. I do occasionally make American ones with blueberries and clotted cream :) That sounds excellent!And, in an unrelated note to the comments above me, fie on the person who deleted the caption and the link to the blog post.
