javafueledcreation: Nothing ever lasts forever…I don’t know why exactly, but the new Ghost album Impera gave me an art nouveau vibe. Maybe it’s the idea of an opulent build-up to destruction. I fashioned this portrait of Papa Emeritus IV in a somewhat Mucha style, surrounded by fire and bats. He stands in the rubble of an empire as pennies rain down (hint to the song Twenties) and holds a censer made of a human skull. That smoke was SUPER fun to illustrate. -- source link
