She began to consider acting as a career path during her time at Harvard University, where she initially intended to study law. Her “big break” in the acting world came with a role on Boston Public in 2000, for which she earned an NAACP Image Award in 2002. Outside of acting, Rashida also executive produced the single-order sitcom A to Z, the anti-exploitation documentary Hot Girls Wanted, and many other projects – from comic books to theatrical films.
