sassy-cicero-says:12/100✔I made a huge leap forward in my #preparation for #ASCS40 today. I recently read a tweet which said that it’s easy to read, read, read because there will always be new articles and books about a topic - but at some stage, that reading has to turn into writing. Today I took that plunge. I already had a basic outline of my paper’s structure, which I focused on expanding with key dot points and information. Now it’s a matter of getting my argument into coherent sentences over the next few days With just 19 days until I fly to #Armidale, I’m getting more excited with every hour. It’s not my first conference, but knowing I’m presenting my research in front of my #postgrad peers AND senior academics in my field for the first time makes it a new experience nonetheless. As a sneak peek, you might notice the #coin I’ve included in today’s pictures - an Italian issue from the Social War. This and other examples will feature in my paper, as well as analysis of literary texts, and I’m looking forward to bringing a new perspective to discussion about the #socii.To finish up the day, I started my second #crossstitch #project. It’s much more complicated than the first, but after a quick trip to #Spotlight this morning I am feeling better equipped and prepared to tackle the challenge. Having successfully completed my first project, I am also much more confident in my #needlework.
