New Lionesses are finally snuggling up in their diorama at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. Make sure and check out @nhmla for an upcoming time-laps of the entire taxidermy mounting process! Tim Bovard, the museum taxidermist and zoologist shown here, wanted to demonstrate to visitors that Lions are incredibly social. Just like your cat at home, these big kitties will head-rub to help solidify bonds. Being a cat person as well, Tim wanted to capture that moment right before the cat flops down. So, this diorama is really a win for cat people Beautiful work, Tim Bovard and Daniel Meng! -- source link
