ohicosplay: Queadlunn- Finished this one up today! So it took a month and a half, instead of a month. I used the following parts and such to build it: Star Trek TR-590 Tricorder Mark IX, by Tangenter (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2573989) Adafruit Feather 32u4 Adalogger (https://www.adafruit.com/product/2795)74HC595 Shift Register (https://www.adafruit.com/product/450)Tamiya Spray Lacquer TS-42 Light Gun Metal (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0019GBAYY)HiLetgo 1.8" inch ST7735R Display (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00LSG51MM/)Transparent Craft Vinyl (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B071ZGRG75/) Miscelanious LEDsHP adhesive vinyl The body was 3d printed at 0.1mm resolution, then covered in cyanoacrylate to give a good surfacing layer and then sanded. Painted and fitted with electronics that I mostly had on hand already. Only things I bought for this project were the TFT display, the Tamiya paint and the clear vinyl I used to cover the printed vinyl graphics. This was really a practice project. The real goal is to make one of the Tricorders from late ST TNG (the type 7, this is the type 9) and I’ll probably make that next year or so. Link to arduino code Link to label graphics -- source link
