full confession: Call me a hater or whatever you like, but regardless of one’s personal feelings for each series, I don’t think it’s coincidence that aftr Zexal, Arc V had (at first) such a cold and harsh reception - and sometimes still does - while after Arc V, the new protag has gotten such a warm welcoming, because despite of the final result Arc V did step up its game rather than have a generic anime plot with card games. -- source link
