As I’m starting to get more questions about the mods I use in my game, I thought I should do another favorite mods spotlight. This time, however, I want to cover my most essential small mods/tweaks/non-gameplay mods…things that you won’t actually SEE in my gameplay posts, but that I wouldn’t want to play without. I’m not including MCC, because I feel like that one is a given and basically everyone knows about it already. And as always, I have MANY more than this…this is just a few of my top picks. So check out the list (in no particular order) below the cut! And as always, if you have a question about my mods or cc (specific) or my game, please ask!1. Better Build/Buy by @twistedmexi This mod is a game changer for me when it comes to build/buy, or more specifically, debug items. My game DOES NOT like the traditional debug menu, and neither do I. It’s SO hard to find things, and for me, the menu is super laggy, which just makes finding things that much worse, AND when I scroll to a certain point in the menu, my game straight up crashes. I did eventually discover that if you search “debug” on the gallery, you can find people who’ve put all the debug items together. BUT you have to have room on your lot to place their debug rooms, delete the items you don’t want, and if you want multiples of the same item, like a bush, you have to place the room multiple times. THIS MOD SOLVES ALL THOSE ISSUES. It puts the debug items in their appropriate build/buy categories, like trees with the trees, and makes debug items searchable and cloneable. THANK YOU, TWISTEDMEXI!!2. Automatic Preferences by @lotharihoe This is pretty self-explanatory…Personally, I don’t like being able to choose my sims’ preferences. Does it make it harder if a sim needs painting skill for their career and HATES it? Absolutely. But that’s reality, and I like realistic gameplay. So instead of being bothered by the pop-ups only to click yes everytime, this mod does the work for me.3. No Makeup, No Accessories on Randomized Sims by @simplyanjuta Self explanatory. I still have to worry about crazy outfits and things like a superwoman costume for a sim’s athleticwear (I know I can fix some of those things in Sims 4 Studio, I just haven’t had the motivation to do so), but at least I no longer have to deal with BAD makeup (I’m looking at you, MAC collab), an overuse of accessories, or the eyeball ring on my npc’s anymore.4. Tidy Accessories/Details/Tattoos by @sparrowcc This cas mod adds little title cards in those categories so there’s a clear divide between them. For example, in skin details, you can now see where your forehead category ends and your mouth crease category begins, so you can make sure you’re using skin details from different categories. Super helpful.5. More Neighborhood Stories Notifications by szemoka As I think we can all agree, the fact that clicking the mailbox only gives you ONE neighborhood stories update at a time is SO ANNOYING. Like, really sims team? Who thought that was a good idea? MODDERS TO THE RESCUE! With this mod, you get all the available notifications in one click.6. More Traits in CAS by thepancake1 Technically this is one you can actually see in my gameplay posts, but it’s also one I wouldn’t want to play without again. I’m all for anything that gives my sim more personality, and this is such an easy way. It increases the cas toddler trait count from 1 to 2, kids to 3, teens to 4, and adults to 5.7. Remove Sims From Conversations by thepancake1 Self-explanatory. I may have talked about this one before, but it’s worth mentioning again. Finally, romantic conversations can be saved from becoming awkward thanks to an unwanted intruder. A simple right click on their face in the conversation bar and they’re out.8. Unlimited Likes & Dislikes by @zerbu Self-explanatory. I got this not long after the preferences were introduced, so I couldn’t even tell you what the game limit actually is, but I’m sure it’s WAY too little. Especially if you’re like me and also have custom preferences. This fixes that.9. Quick Outfits by zero I don’t know about you, but in my game, the outfits menu (the one that pops-up when you click “change outfit”) takes FOREVER to load. All I’m trying to freaking do is change my sim out of their Pjs into their everyday wear, and it’s impossible. This mod adds new options that allow you to simply click “change into _____”, and it then randomly picks one of your sims’ outfits in that category. So now when I want to get my sim dressed, I just click their dresser/closet and click “change into everyday.” Done.10. Inborn Personality by @chingyu1023vick Again, anything to give my sims even more personality, and of course, anything that adds realism to my game. This mod allows the babies (toddlers technically, since babies are objects) to inherit random traits from their parents. This is another one that can technically see in my gameplay, but I love it, so I have to include it here. That’s all for now! Thanks to ALL the AMAZING creators and modders that make my game SO MUCH BETTER! I am seriously AMAZED by all of you and your skill and genius! -- source link
