Qaesar is a student at Saint Joseph School in Qaraqosh, Iraq. For much of his life, he has been displaced, living in temporary housing. Five years ago he had to flee when ISIS took over his city, and his school was used by ISIS as an army base. Over the last year, Qaesar and his classmates have been able to return to their city.With your support through Open Doors, the former ISIS “army base” was transformed back into its original purpose: a school.
