He had been looking forward to this trip. Flights and hotels booked months in advance. Two weeks to relax at one of the most beautiful beaches. He thought nothing would get in his way of this well-deserved vacation. That was, until his yearly health checkup threw him off balance. The blood and urine tests didn’t come out as expected. However, it didn’t take long for his doctor to find the cause. Far from delivering him bad news, the doctor offered him a handshake, a smile and a “congratulations: you’re pregnant”.Unexpected, of course. He had no idea. The doc said that was only normal. He was in the very early stages of it, not quite three months along yet. Though the symptoms were sure to become noticeable soon, it wasn’t all that strange that they hadn’t yet. He’d thought about cancelling the trip. It seemed to be the responsible thing to do. Nevertheles, the doctor said it was perfectly safe for him to fly for him at this point, as long as he took it easy.In the end, he decided to go anyway. He needed to relax, and it was going to be a long while until he could do it again. It was a good decision, although, as the doctor had predicted, he was already feeling the pregnancy by the time he got to his hotel. Thankfully, the morning sickness hadn’t been too bad yet, but his speedos were getting tight around his thighs and his waist. The resort food wasn’t helping with that, all too tasty and easily available for a man that felt he could eat a horse most of the time. After the first week, he noticed the way he looke. Fourteen months along now. Not quite a proper baby bump in his middle yet, but definitely started to swell. -- source link
