I keep seeing people talk on different posts on FB how Etsy is using image recognition and clean, clear images are best to use for listings. I hate shopping from a blank white photo with an item stuck in the middle by photoshop. Or light boxes… It doesn’t give me the idea of its size, it doesn’t give me any feelings, it looks like cheap amazon item, it doesn’t inspire me or make want to have it. And for my sales…. I can’t imagine myself using one of those apps or whatever that puts your artwork in an imaginary interior. It’s so fake and doesn’t let my art be my art. My artwork is not only painted to sell it’s painted to to tell a little story, every photo I take takes a lot of work, there’s always an idea, a reason behind everything. I’m not just selling art, I’m selling inspiration, happy feels and love for flowers, nature and everything light. I want that to be in my shop. I always use flowers and brushes, many different little things, because that’s what’s around me. For me creating doesn’t end when I put down my brush, it continues into photo taking process too and I feel like that’s being taken away if I want to share my art with others. No one will see it if there’s “clutter” in the photo. My shop has nearly died in last months. -- source link
