Meet Dr. Lloyd Augustus Hall, a chemist who revolutionized the food industry. Dr. Hall received his Doctorate in Science from Virginia State College in 1944. Utilizing his expertise in chemistry, Dr. Hall developed unique chemical combinations to help meat from spoiling making it taste better and last longer. Furthermore, Dr. Hall discovered the use of natural antioxidants in preventing fats and oils from spoiling. Dr. Hall has over 100 patents worldwide ranging from food preservation to different sterilization techniques. He was inducted to the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2004 for his innovative work in food science. -- source link
