DC in the 80s is branching out! A few news items: A new DC in the 80s Wordpress site has been created at http://dcinthe80s.wordpress.com/. The Wordpress is just a repeat of the Tumblr site and will contain no new original content - so basically you can just keep following this Tumblr site and never miss a thing. The reason we’ve created a Wordpress version? Wordpress is more ‘comment friendly’ - allowing anonymous users the ability to post comments/praise/criticism/etc. This is imperative to our goal of getting potential conversations going and fostering a community of fans who enjoy DC comics from the 1980s. Also, there are a lot of great DC comics fan sites/bloggers on Wordpress and this is our chance to keep in touch with them. Admittedly, this is a work in progress as we are slowly filling the Wordpress blog with the best of our archived material - but it will soon be up-to-date. The DC in the 80s Facebook group page is relatively new. Often when we are researching material for an article we come across links that are relevant but for whatever reason don’t fit into the article - these include interviews, original art, other fan sites we’ve stumbled upon, videos, etc - and we’ve been posting them into this new Facebook group page. We made sure that the Facebook group was public (so you don’t need a Facebook account to view) and you can view the timeline here: https://www.facebook.com/dccomicsinthe80s. Lots and lots of material here, ladies and gentlemen, be sure to take a look. The DC in the 80s Twitter has been re-activated. You can find it at https://twitter.com/DCinthe1980s. The DC in the 80s Twitter feed is basically a repeat of whatever is posted to the DC in the 80s Facebook group page. This was created for any fans who use Twitter as a primary mode of social networking. And yes, we do respond to tweets. As always, all original content will be posted on this Tumblr site you are currently reading (http://dcinthe80s.tumblr.com/). P.S. If you have a blog/fan site/interview you would like us to feature in DC in the 80s, please message us using the 'ask me anything’ button here on the Tumblr page. We will most likely link to your site via the Facebook group page.Thank you for all of your kind words and support. -- source link
