I am grateful that I have been blessed with an interest in creating art. So much meaning and expression and joy comes from being able to create something with my own hands, and that means a lot to me. I am grateful, especially on the days when I feel like everything I make is hot garbage, that I can look back and see how much my work has progressed, even from just a year ago, it is encouraging to see that all my hard work really is paying off. Michelangelo said “if people knew how hard I had to work for my mastery, it would not seem so wonderful at all,” I don’t consider myself a master of anything by any means, but so much of my heart and soul goes into everything I create, so it is exhilarating to see it pan out. I am also very grateful for everyone in my life that has come up to me and asked me about my art, or that mentions how much they enjoy seeing my process and pieces. Maybe it shouldn’t be, but it always amazes me when people come out of nowhere, sometimes people I haven’t even met, and they are excited about my work. It means a lot to me to have people who enjoy seeing my creations, and that you support me and inspire me. Thank you for all your support, and kind compliments. I hope to share a lot more work with you in the coming years. #givethanks #ryliesavageart - The pictures I put together are some of my work that I feel I learned the most from, and am most pleased with. I also included some old artwork from high school and early college days. (I wanted to show more old work, but it’s all buried in boxes from the move, so one day I will get it out again. Until now you’ll just have to take my word for it, there is a big - embarrassing - difference between then and now, lol) https://www.instagram.com/p/CICZ42erDw0/?igshid=1twbk47w9gcq7 -- source link
