Roland left my boy for 3 days in Gevaudan and he ended up overdosing, remembered traumas from his past (well that’s Naenia’s fault) and Roland picked him up covered in his own blood and exhausted. Many parallels are drawn between Astolfo and Vanitas but I wonder if Roland also made connections. I wonder if that explains why he has taken a liking to Vanitas besides knowing his past and why he is so eager to help him because he has failed a bit with Astolfo. But then I also wonder why he does not treat or stop treating astolfo as he does with Vanitas.
