I built this piece as a symbol. Constructed of plywood and foam insulation, this 8ftx2.5ft structure is meant to house one viewer at a time. Built in is an air conditioner and a singular lightbulb on full blast. Close the door behind you, at your feet is a scale. Interact with it on your own terms. My favorite feedback I received on this piece was that is made viewers feel as though they were a piece of meat inside a locker. This statement resonated with my entire being. This should not be the feeling of the human form. This should not be a societal expectation. -- source link
