Comfortable Around Friends. Many nudists have told me they think I’m weird for wanting to be nude around my clothed friends. Like it’s an “us vs. them” thing. Why? I hope to be nude all the time and show that it’s nothing to worry about. Thinking it’s weird to be nude around my friends is just wrong.Okay, to be honest, it was a little weird at first. But what “first time” of anything isn’t a little awkward? It’s either accepted or another change has to happen. I knew some of my friends would be uncomfortable, but to make sure, I asked them first if they had heard of nudism and what they thought. We’re still good friends, we just don’t talk about that side of my life. It was still scary getting up the nerve to ask those friends I thought might be okay. I put a lot of trust in them and it paid off. I’m very surprised by how much more we trust we each other now. I know trust is inherent with nudism, but I had no idea it worked so well with textiles too. I feel safe, strong, and accepted. It’s a new level I’ve rarely felt before. Sure they tease me from time to time for being naked, but it’s all in fun. If things get out of hand we talk about it. I’ve set boundaries and hold to them. At first I was the naked friend and it was a little weird. Some couldn’t take it, others did. For those where it did, it’s become comfortable and accepted.
