This journey begins with a calling. During a peaceful night of rest, Ororo Munroe suddenly receives a deep spiritual calling the likes of which she hasn’t heard for many many years. A familiar summoning, Ororo sits up in her bed and looks out beyond the curtains dancing with the midnight breeze at her window. In an air of disbelief, she smiles to herself with a light chuckle at the possibility of once again reuniting with this beloved person. After packing a small duffel bag, Ororo steps out into the cool night and is quickly lifted upward by obedient gusts of air swirling around her. With such a long journey ahead, the Wind Rider creates a bullet funnel of pressurized air that rockets her across the night sky at blazing speeds. The source of the call is coming from Mount Kenya, and should only take a couple of hours to reach at her current velocity. The sky begins to slowly wake and transition to warm colors as Ororo nears her destination. Another smile erupts across her face as her gaze centers on the elderly woman sitting atop the peak of the mountain. Ororo gently controls the winds around her to set foot next to the woman who has now stood to greet her. The elder is Ainet Mwanga, a powerful magic wielding priestess and motherly figure to Ororo. In Ainet’s hands glows a small statue figurine that resembles Ororo. The two greet one another warmly with tear-filled eyes and unbounded smiles. Storm confirms to her adopted mother that she knew instantly who was reaching out to her from around the world. Ainet acknowledges that her magical accuracy is no accident as this is the very purpose of summoning her to the great Mt. Kirinyaga’s peaks. She continues to explain that she has recently discovered new information regarding Ororo’s ancestral magic connections. The importance of these revelations could not wait, and have the potential to alter the life course of Ororo. Storm stands upright in surprise with dozens of questions, but doesn’t know where to begin. Ainet laughs and hands the statue to her daughter and it begins to glow once more. Images of powerful ancient Kenyan Maasai Laibon (priestesses) flood into Ororo’s mind in an instant. Read more ->FB https://www.instagram.com/p/CHibEj_Fr4Q/?igshid=1cyqjtsmmv8by -- source link
