This particular dragon, from my last Dungeons and Dragons campaign, is a silver dragon named Tamorid! Throughout history she has posed as a slightly eccentric human bard and investigator while trying to maintain peace among a few kingdoms she favors. My players first encountered her in her dragon form where she worked to put out a massive forest fire they had started, ran across her later in human form where she was trying to stop an orc invasion, crossed paths with her time and time again as she fought to stop the demonic invasion they were unintentionally enabling, and only two years later did they find out the two were the same person! -- source link
