Why I Love Bobbie Sue’s Mac + Cheese: Not your university macThe day work doesn’t feed youOn Friday’s we didn’t get lunch at The Drake since the kitchen was usually slammed. So one Friday Hillary, Adrienne and I ventured towards the Ossington Strip in search of food. I’m not sure who came up with the idea, I think it was Hillary, but someone had mentioned heading to Bobbie Sue’s.(Courtesy of @kewsgurl)Taking mac + cheese to a whole new levelBobbie Sue’s puts your university mac + cheese to shame. As a mac + cheese lover, I experimented with the dish putting different seasonings, vegetables and meats. Bobbie Sue’s has successfully put a spin on this go-to comfort food, which isn’t surprising since the establishment is by the owners of Poutini’s House of Poutine.(Courtesy of @_Joietan_)The establishment uses either Cavatappi or Scooby Doo pasta along with béchamel and multiple cheeses as its base. Then they add speciality toppings to create a gooey, delicious and Instagram worthy dish which rivals any other mac + cheese. Some options include: Pull Pork Mac, Curry in a Hurry Mac, Buffalo Blue Cheese Mac and more.(Courtesy of @shucercv)Kind of on the Ossington, but not?The take-out venue is both hard to and not hard to miss. While the address is 162 Ossington Ave., it technically sits on Foxley St., which can throw people looking for it off. However, it does have a big sign and colourful shack, which grabs your attention.(Courtesy of @VeganGirlfiend)So Toronto, if you’ve pimped out your poutine, hot dog, grilled cheese, burritos, ice cream and whatever else there is, then its time you add mac + cheese to your food bucket list. -- source link
