In 2013 the Kislak Center acquired the Marlboro Music School and Festival Records. The collection is comprised of administrative files, publicity, correspondence, photographs, and audio-visual materials. “Musical Partnerships at Play: The Marlboro Music Festival” is currently on display on the 4th floor of Van Pelt-Dietrich library in the Eugene Ormandy Gallery. This exhibit celebrates the Vermont music school, reflecting the joyful, inspired playfulness of the program, which was founded in 1951 by Rudolf Serkin. Next Thursday, October 5th, there will be a Penn Chamber ensemble student performance followed by a reception in honor of the exhibit.
