And as she continues to make her way into the spotlight since her “See The Real Me” Clean & Clear ad campaign aired earlier this month, her dedication to teaching those unfamiliar with trans people shined through in an interview with HuffPost Live on Monday.While she said she may not experience the rampant bullying some trans youth do, she explained to host Nancy Redd that whenever a bully strikes, she tries to educate them.“I say [to bullies], 'You know what, I’m transgender, but it’s okay to be different because I embrace my uniqueness,” Jennings said.The 14-year-old teen has had an outpouring of support since her campaign aired, and TLC recently announced that she will star in a reality show titled “All That Jazz,” set to premiere this summer.However, the sad reality is that many transgender teenagers face insurmountable discrimination, as evidenced by the tragic suicide of Leelah Alcorn earlier this year. But Jennings offered encouraging words for any trans teens struggling to feel heard and accepted: “Stay strong and keep moving forward.”“If they have a positive attitude, then things will get better. And you have to say that to yourself: 'Things will get better,’” Jennings said. “And I just encourage them to love themselves no matter what anyone else says.
