brokehorrorfan: We’re excited to premiere two exclusive pieces of artwork from “Pop 2 Action,” an upcoming pop culture art exhibit opening at Hero Complex Gallery on November 7. Above you will find a Frankenstein piece by Matthew Therrien and a painting inspired by A Clockwork Orange from David Brian Wasdin, along with a flyer for the event featuring zombie artwork by the legendary Drew Struzan. Click each one to get a better look. Over 50 artists from around the world contributed works to the show. Limited edition prints and merchandise will be available, with a portion of proceeds being donated to Grateful Arts, a charity that raises money to feed the hungry, create sustainable food sources and advocate for the arts. Pop 2 Action is curated by Gratitude Collaborative, a charitable organization founded by Dana Renee Ashmore, wife of X-Men actor Shawn Ashmore and Frank Darabont’s producing partner on Mob City. Ashmore works alongside Laura Bousman, wife of Saw II filmmaker Darren Lynn Bousman and producer on his The Devil’s Carnival films. Needless to say, these ladies are well-versed in both business and entertainment. Pop 2 Action opens Friday, November 7 at 7pm at Los Angels’ Hero Complex Gallery and runs through Sunday. Admission is free, so be sure to stop by if you’re in the area to support a good cause and good art. -- source link
