yourbestmate:smart-y:Hi! My name is Sam, and i’m a Christian trans* guy. And this is March 31, 2015: International Transgender Day of Visibility. And i just wanted to share some things. ^_^ I’m different. I always wanted to be a boy. I have known this from a very young age. But since i’m religious i thought it was a bad thing, a sin. So i tried to change, to be more girlish, to be someone else, someone who i’m not. I didn’t know that what i am, what i feel has a name. Then 3 months ago (12 Dec 2014) i came out to my best and closest friends via tumblr as ftm transgender (since here the people are very accepting). And they were/are absolutely amazing!!! AND I WANT TO THANK MY FRIENDS FOR THEIR LOVE AND SUPPORT!!! Szonklin(especially), Nosetothewind94, Nymphi324, Queen-of-Sheep, Ritarmandi, you are so nice and kind!!! <3 <3 <3 And it was 3 months ago, yet i’ve changed a lot since. And there’s still so much i could do and become. I just had a new haircut, i want to buy my first binder. Eventually i want to came out to my family (and other friends). It’s pretty scary and i have my ups and downs, but with God’s help and my friends’ support i could achieve amazing results. So keep hope and carry on! :) Six years ago I posted my first ever picture to celebrate International Trans Day of Visibility.A lot has changed since. It’s just so amazing that how one can change in such a (seemingly) short time. I achieved a lot! Back then I was proud to be out, and on my way of changing. Nowadays I don’t really like to be visible. So I thought all day about posting this. I have new friends and followers who has no idea that I’m trans and I’m always afraid that if someone finds out (especially Christians) they will treat me differently. But I was like this is the day, this is the day to be visible, to show the world that we exist, we are just as real and normal as anyone else. And we deserve love and acceptance! Also if I have not posted the original post back then then I wouldn’t have @t-shirtlife as my best friend so no regrets here. Not then and not now.Huge thank you to my wife, @szonklin, to my friends and family for their support and acceptance and never ending love. And I thank God who loves me and who is always there with me, every single moment of my life. So keep hope, be brave and carry on! :) I’m very happy to see you decided to post this even if u had concerns, @yourbestmate. I think you have a very inspiring journey, which could help others who are in the beginning of seeking their ways. Thank you for being this brave and thank you for telling us about yourself. I’m glad that you found support, meet new friends, and I’m aware, that my few words won’t change anything, but i’m sure that those new people and followers around you just gonna see your sparkling, exciting and funny personality, not anything else. You are Máté to all of us. ♥️ -- source link
