Made at the height of #OngBak popularity with Thailand then serving as the epicenter for martial arts fan service. Finally got to view this one via Fox Entertainment’s @tubi. I used to pester HKFlix about this film when the trailer arose. Big stunts and big scale action that is certainly up to the task, but there’s only so much it accomplishes between some of the worst dramatization and storytelling ever executed for an indie actioner. A cacophony of amateurish drivel with bouts of cartoonish, mildly dehumanizing toilet romp. A rainy-day watch, and a living example of why action movies should be more than just action fan service. Would be pretty neat if #BangkokAdrenaline got a nifty little reboot with Daniel O'Neill and Gwion Jacob, and possibly some better writing and direction. And a better opening intro song.
