Celebrated my birthday yesterday as another workday. No plans, sadly, but finally managed to catch DRAGGED ACROSS CONCRETE. This film fires on all of its perpetually fucked up cylinders from top to bottom, in a story so wrought with complexities, bleakness, foreshadowing and a stillness that grabs you from scene to scene so often that in all its tediousness, its almost-constant potency compels you to keep watching.
