warplanerubdown:I had a weird thing happen at work on Saturday. I was overtired and dehydrated and there may be a possibility that I had a minor seizure. I don’t want to self diagnose, but after looking up symptoms of what happened, it resembles a “Focal Aware Seizure”Epilepsy runs in my family. My sister has it bad and my Grandpa had a more minor version. I’ve never had a diagnosed seizure or anything, but when I get really tired I sometimes have a moment where the whole world goes:It only lasts a second and no one outside myself notices anything has happened. This time though, I was trying to speak to a coworker and had a brief moment of convulsion and stuttering, “I tho- I- I th-I I tho-I-” From my perspective, I was fully aware what was going on, but it felt like I was trapped in a skipping split-second of time. And there were giant gaping black squares in the warehouse where pieces of my vision were skipping. It lasted maybe two seconds, I never lost consciousness or even fell down, but it was pretty concerning. I have an upcoming doctor’s appointment anyways, so hopefully he can help me understand what actually happened.I saw the doctor and his guess is that whatever happened was probably caused by being severely overtired, which was probably caused by sleep apnea. I guess not breathing during the night isn’t good for you? -- source link
