m3t30r-sh0w3rs:hisiheyah: I felt so powerful after learning new techniques from making the rabbit plush that I had to immediately apply them to another crochet project If you don’t mind PLEASE drop the pattern I’m screaming Oh man I made it up as I went along so I don’t have a pattern! I used a lot of techniques from this rabbit pattern, especially the thread sculpting for the face. The pattern includes videos that show you exactly how it’s done. I used that technique to bring the eyes closer together and to make the little indent for the mouth. Plus, I added the all-important indent for the double chin:I used a size 7 (4.5mm) crochet hook and fluffy yarn (any sort will do) for the body, front legs, and ears. I used a size 4 (3.5mm) hook and not-fluffy yarn for the feet. You can see the amount of specificity I approached this with. The front legs were crocheted directly onto the body instead of sewn. There’s nothing wrong with making them separately and sewing them on, but I like to minimize sewing as a matter of personal preference. This little guy doesn’t have separate back legs; the back feet were sewn directly onto the body. The shape of the body is a pretty basic peanut shape–the thread sculpting does a lot of the work! When I was doing the increases on the face, I did the increases where the cheeks would be to give it extra Cheek™️. I hope this was helpful! -- source link
